It's been a crazy couple of weeks since all of this has been going down, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Well kind of. We have a friend staying with us this week and then we are house sitting next week and then it's back to semi-normal life.
I am really enjoying having people here though. I have missed familiar faces more than I realized and I love seeing James and Greg. If only more people would come out (family, ahem)
I ran a 15K on Sunday and did really well. I was proud of myself. 9.3 miles in 1:19 for an average pace of 8:30. 53rd out of 282 in my age group. I'll take it!
I'm struggling a bit with finding time to get my long runs done on the weekends. I guess I'm not making it enough of a priority. This week I have 17 miles on deck and we have all these plans to go to the coast and the gorge. Ugh. We shall see how this goes. I really want to run the Eugene Marathon May 1st and it's coming up to fast, so I need to get my focus on!
Greg is making us scallops this week, and I'm pretty excited. The only time I have ever had scallops was not a very good memory, so I have faith he will be able to change my opinion about them.
This was a random post, but it's what has been going on. I will leave you with some photos! Till next time!
